And as always, I didn't notice the OP and ED were skipped until several minutes later after finishing the episode, lol. I'll just keep waiting to see how Subaru will develop here from now. P.S. Episode 8 still places as my favorite episode in my heart. |

| -This episode was amazing -I cried like a little girl when Rem started crawling towards Subaru -That OST was so fitting and made this episode ten times better -That creature at the end was Puck -Puck is Witch's remeaning soul -Witch is Emilia's mother (Disclaimer: Only making up theories guys ::I no spoilerino) Now why can't i give this show more than 10?Why is White Fox doing such a great job at directing in every aspect of the show?Why will this anime end? | Oh my lordly lord what an episode. It had me gripped from start to finish, easily the best episode of anime i can remember watching. It was an insane emotional roller coaster, with subaru literally shutting down, the intense violence, Rem crawling towards subaru in her disheveled stat and Subaru GRABBING HER WITH HIS TEETH, to the credits sequence where puck kills subaru (again) and as they roll you watch his body being slowly covered with snow. To the very end where subaru gets the fire back in his eyes. When your anime is already going this hard how can you get higher? But with his newfound resolve, what can subaru actually do to fix this shitstorm? |

| Can we make a pause to appreciate that Betelgeuse is voiced by fucking Yoshitsugu Matsuoka? I knew it was him since the moment he started to talk, but, holy fuck, the guy totally esrned my respect with this role. Now those who call him a bad voice actor better shut their mouths. About the episode itself, it was brutal as hell. Betelgeuse was too over the top it was hilarious, but still was brutal. That credit scenes with giant Puck decapitating Subaru only made it better. The suffering has oficially started. Cannot wait to the next episode. |

| Great episode. I would suggest Subaru to just die and end everything if it were other anime but damn he really did have no choice here. Best Matsuoka's role I've heard btw. |

I thought about it too, but after the last scene, where his eyes lighted up red, I thought there should be something other than return by death. Ohetwise, how is he going to deal with this cult? Surely not by return by death. Maybe he would get some help, like Reinhardt, but I believe his own powers would do something too. |

| Good lord, the last few minutes, with the accompanying soundtrack, was simply gut-wrenching. Even knowing what would happen beforehand, it still hit pretty damn hard. Rem's fight in the forest had significantly less impact than it did in the LN, but given the time constraint, I will say I'm happy with what we got. Betelgeuse's voice sounded a bit younger than I was expecting at first, but the performance was top notch. 5/5 episode overall. I was very worried about this episode in particular not doing the source material justice, but man does WF deserve a standing ovation for what they managed to accomplish here! |

There are multiple powerful people who showed caring about him(ex: reinhard, felt, the buttler, etc). Just turn tail and run to them and grovel for mercy and ask for help. |

| ok, great episode. What do we learn? Betelgeuse is a witch cultist who considers himself Sloth although he manifests both Envy and Wrath that is jealous of Subaru being chosen by the witch. So we know Soubaru's power comes from the witch. At this point I think we can confirm this. We also confirm Rem loves Soubaru. Some say that the monster at the end is Puck but if so whom is his daughter that died as a result of the events? Or maybe is Puck's mom? Also the end confirms the fact that his rebirth power is given by the witch. About the unpleasant smell I guess he has a limited number of lives and as he wastes them the strong becomes stronger because he gets closer to death. |
